Do you treat…?

Yes! Naturopathic Doctors (ND) are licensed doctors and are able to treat a wide variety of concerns. ND’s are able to order lab-work and x-rays, prescribe many common antibiotics and refer to a specialist when necessary just like an allopathic doctor(MD). As an ND, I am able to act as your primary care doctor or help you with individual concerns.

Do you treat men?

Yes, she has many men as patients! Her specialty is women’s health however many symptoms that concern women such as fatigue, gas and bloating, blood pressure, diet, hormones, libido…etc, also concern men.

What happens in the first visit?

Initial visits are typically an 45 minutes long and include a great deal of communication and teamwork. Please bring any previous medical information, lab-work or supplements you feel may be important for Dr. Jones to see. A complete history is taken and includes any necessary physical exam. Supplements and lab-work that may need to be ordered incur separate fees.

How long are return visits?

Return visits are generally 30min. long but can be longer depending on the patient or doctor’s request.

Do you take insurance?

If you have questions about billing, be sure to call the office and talk with the billing department. Please make sure you understand how your insurance contract works when seeing Dr. Jones. Any services not covered will be billed to the patient. Right now, supplements are not covered by insurance companies however lab-work may qualify.

How much do visits cost?

Do you do hormone testing, hormone therapy and hormone balance?

Yes, this is a special area of interest with Dr. Jones as she has done a great deal of studying and training in hormone testing and therapy. This includes sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone), thyroid hormones, thyroid antibodies and stress hormones (cortisol and DHEA). There are also many therapies that are non-invasive and natural for women experiencing symptoms of peri-menopause and menopause.

Will I have to change my diet or take a bunch of pills?

Dr. Jones believes strongly in meeting her patients where they are at with their health. Many times this will include nutrition and supplemental recommendations in order to help you reach your goal. Not every diet or pill is appropriate for every person and that is why open communication is so vital to the visit. You can read about my philosophy here.
